MOMENT 1 · Stay close
Accompany in pain.
Jesus is condemned under the authority of Pontius Pilate and dies crucified. It is a moment of pain and loss for those who love him. The Gospels remind the women who continue to accompany him. John presents his mother and the beloved disciple near the cross, receiving an invitation to take care of themselves.
Sometimes care means staying close, even without all the answers.

MOMENT 2 · A tomb in the rock
One last gesture of care.
At sunset, Joseph of Arimathea asks Pilate for the body of Jesus. He wraps it in a sheet and places it in a tomb dug into the rock. Then he rolls a stone to close the entrance. Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of Joses, watch where he is laid.
Respect and care also take place in the farewell.

MOMENT 3 · A waiting time
Rest without having answers.
Luke tells that the women who had come with Jesus from Galilee observe the tomb and prepare spices and perfumes again. Then they rest on the Sabbath, according to the commandment. They still do not know what will come. The story leaves room for sadness, silence and waiting.
We can be sad and look for company, without rushing to feel something else.

TO SAVE IN THE HEART
In times of pain, it matters to stay close to others and accept their care.
FOUR VOICES, ONE STORY
Return to the Gospels.
We tell the death of Jesus without graphic details. Responsibility for his execution must never be placed on Jewish people, then or now. The Gospels place the condemnation under the Roman rule of Pilate.

A MOMENT TO SHARE
The story continues at home.
You can share a moment of silence or name something that brings comfort. No one has to share a painful experience.
