MOMENT 1 · On the other side of the lake
An evening crossing.
As the afternoon falls, Jesus invites his disciples to cross the other side of the lake. They leave the shore in a boat. Jesus falls asleep in the back, on a cushion. The journey that seemed calm is about to change.
Jesus shares the journey and a moment of rest with his disciples.

MOMENT 2 · Ask for help
When fear appears.
A strong storm rises and the waves hit the boat. The disciples are afraid and wake up Jesus. They express their concern about what is happening. In the midst of the difficulty, they come to him and ask for help.
We can express our fear and ask for help from someone we trust.

MOMENT 3 · Calm comes
A question full of amazement.
Jesus rises and commands the wind and the water to calm down. The storm ceases. Then he talks to his disciples about faith. They are amazed and wonder who he is, that even the wind and the lake obey him.
Trust also includes asking questions and continuing to learn.

TO SAVE IN THE HEART
Fear can be expressed. Asking for help is also part of trusting.
FOUR VOICES, ONE STORY
Return to the Gospels.
Matthew, Mark and Luke tell this episode with their own nuances. The story talks about Jesus' authority; it does not promise that having faith will avoid difficulties or always make danger disappear.
